Doh!… And we’re back

by

Hey all,

We’re having a few issues with the application right now and we’re working furiously to fix them. Sorry for the delay and we’ll do everything we can to have the app back in working order as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience and we’ll have an update for you shortly.

UPDATE: We’re back up and running smoothly. We’re really sorry for the downtime. Drafts that were in progress will have the remaining picks auto-drafted, but if you would like to re-draft at a new time you can shoot an email to ffsupport =at= citizensportsinc.com. Drafts that were slated to start during the brief outage were pushed back to 1:30pm PST. If you have any questions or concerns, please post them here.

Our draft is slated for Saturday afternoon (EST). Are there any anticipated problems with the app for that time or load issues?

  2. bmead Says:

Nope, we don’t anticipate any problems. Yesterday’s issues were the first we’ve seen in a month of being live, and while it’s possible we encounter another hiccup, it’s very unlikely. Have fun!

I just got a Facebook notification that says:

“Fantasy Football 2008: Heads up! Your live online draft is scheduled for 08/30/08 at 10:00 PT. Go to the “Season Tickets” home page and test the draft software in advance”

Does that mean that I can see the draft room in advance, or that I can do the “test browser compatibility” link (which has been there for a long time)? If the former, I can’t find where I would do that.

  4. bmead Says:

Right now you will only be able to test your browser, but for a preview of how the draft works you can check out the “How Drafts Work” part of the help section. Here’s a link: http://apps.new.facebook.com/fbfantasy/help/onlinelivedraft

    Hope that helps!

  5. J Brookins Says:

That notification is a bit misleading, then. And why send it out when that link to test the browser has been there all along?

And I was getting my hopes up that I would be able to pre-test the draft room to help some owners know what to expect. While you are there (and, if you are on Brannan St., you are a block or so away from where I used to work), where will the link to the draft room appear when it is 30 min. from draft day/time?
